Technically, yes. I was a police officer. I was in the NYPD academy in 2002. Once you are sworn into the academy, you are considered a Police Officer. Though, I left without graduating...so I was not a quote/unquote street cop. I just wanted to clear that up so people wouldn't think I was representing myself as something that I was not. I would say that my knowledge of criminal law & procedure is better than the average schmoe....but "extensive", while a very nice compliment, would be an overzealous adjective. A 1st year law student could probably out-duel me in a cold debate. I've forgotten a lot of what I once knew.

Sorry for the rebuttal......I just wanted to clear a few things up.
