I have seen the japanese release of Gozu a little over a year ago. It stays true to Miike's style by haunting you with images of obscene violence yet makes you smile at the sheer humanity of the players involved.
Great interview! Ichi The Killer is the first movie that actually kinda freaked me out with the violence on the first viewing since I was just a youngin'. I think since maybe the first Hellraiser movie. I was 15 when I saw that for the first time.
