That's not exactly true, but they do have plenty of good food and the stores in VA carry a wide variety of unusual beers and wine.

i *heart* trader joe's in a serious way. i like that you can get whole/organic foods for less than they cost at the regular grocery stores or most natural food stores.

oh god, i love the cheese!

i just meant that it's not like one of those health food stores that smells like petchouli and sells only rice cakes and granola bars. people seem to get that impression before they go.
and yeah there are always hot girls there, working and shopping.

I used to work for Whole Foods.. and they're scared shitless by Trader Joes. Because Trader Joes only carries about 1/4 the product mix of Whole Foods... but they sell at least half of those items at lower prices.. they have a really good distribution system and get great buys which sends the savings on to the consumer.

There isn't one by my house.. But there is and Aldi's.. which is a giant German supermarket chain.. and Aldi's owns Trader Joes..

so anyhoo.. Trader Joes Rocks.. Whole Foods and Wild Oats fear the Joe.. but they're ok too.. if you need more hippie stuff

I love trader joes! If I were whole foods (or safeway) I'd be scared shitless too. Trader joes has better quality everything.

Actually.. the quality of the food at TJ's is the exact same.. they sell the same products.. it's the prices that are better at TJ's.. TJ's private label foods are made by the same group that makes most of the private label foods for whole foods and wild oats.. How many giant "natural" soda manufacturers do you think there are? It's about your preception of which is better..

just an observation

Shit, if I want to go to Trader Joe's, I have to go all the way up to Mountain View to get there.

I stick to Whole Foods. It's closer.

I used to buy my Kasi Go Lean and Optimum Blueberry cereal, mac and cheese, some vitamins, and the occasional delecious dry fruit selection there. Outstanding prices, too. They didn't have one in Champaign, IL, so I was shit out of luck for two years. However, I recently moved back to Oregon and have been reintroduced to seventh heaven.
