In Bangkok, where transvestites are generally accepted, the "Pink Lotus Bathroom" solves the interesting problem of where transvestites go to the bathroom.

The facility is exclusively for the school's 15 transvestite students and features four stalls, but no urinals. On the door hangs a sign with intertwined male and female symbols.

"They would come in the morning and use the women's bathrooms, but the women were annoyed, didn't like it or played pranks on them," said Posaporn Promprakai, registrar of the school in Chiang Mai province, about 580 kilometers (360 miles) north of Bangkok.

The transvestites - who must wear male attire at school but are allowed to sport girlie hairdos - switched to the men's bathrooms, only to run into more trouble.

"The men teased them, chased them, and they came screaming and in tears again," Posaporn told The Associated Press.

Posaporn also says, "We are just trying to solve the problems of one group that is unhappy at school. They don't get teased in the bathroom anymore. They're much happier."

And, really, isn’t happy bathroom time what life is all about?

At the college my mom works at there is this professor that is a trans. and he became a women. So he started using the women's bathroom and everyone freaked out. Including my mom (closeminded freak). She even joined the commitee who wanted her to use a different bathroom than them. But the men didn't want her to use their bathroom eiather. So a whole new bathroom had to be built just for her. I think thats just wrong. mad

Solutions to the bathroom problem are probably one of the best indicators of success. It's confusing, though, because nobody wants unisex bathrooms. How about private bathrooms for everybody?

If you want to take a dump in the same room as your date, knock yourself out.

Funny the article states that in Thailand tranny's are generally accepted yet they were harrassed by both genders to the point of tears and the bathroom became an issue.Hmmmmm .....doesn't sound anymore accepted than here in the US.

At my gym there is a tranny who has breast implants and dresses as a female, wears makeup, etc., but clearly is not. I mean he is like 6'5" and fairly muscular. No one, and I mean no one would mistake him for a woman. Nonetheless he uses the women's locker room exclusively. This seems even more iffy than a bathroom since there are women changing and showering in there too. No one seems to have a problem with it though, which is somewhat surprising, but also nice for a change. It says allot about how tolerant this city is I think.

Right. And if we go unisex, where will women hide the war room?

i think this is great, i wish the rest of the world dealt with problems more like this, you don't have to like it, just deal with it and presto you have tranny toilets and everyone can be happy.

Personally I want uni-sex bathrooms, just so women can see how many of you penis-wielding fucks don't wash your hands.

I don't want a unisex bathroom....but still I get all puke when I see someone who has just been pissing or shitting just walk out of the bathroom, or run a splash of water over his hands with no soap. It's disgusting and happens too much. It makes me not want to shake anyone's hand, but I still do. puke
