So i've been visiting the site in the past few days to check on the progress of the series only to discover there's barely any mention of it on the homepage. WTF mates? It's only the fucking Stanley Cup for Pete's sake and there's only four little stories on the home page. If you didn't know to look for it, you wouldn't know it's going on. Go check it out now.

ESPN not really covering the greatest playoffs in all of sports.

Maybe i'm making mountains out of molehills, but i think it's a bit rediculous if you ask me.

I have to say I wasn't into this years finals either til I went to Calgary for game 3 and it was intense (the party that is) so it has renewed my interest in this years playoffs...BUT for most Americans if it doesn't include them ie. Detroit, Chicago etc..(I know Tampa is in the states but hardly what you call a hockey town) They just aren't interested...if it happened to be the Flames vs. the Maple Leafs or Canadians I doubt most American stations would even mention the playoffs.

The U.S. population is 10 times greater than that of Canada... but there was over 5 times as many people watching the playoffs in Canada.

I blame it on it being Tampa Bay (like Oracle said). If it would've been Detroit, Boston, Philly, or a town who likes hockey... it'd be a bit different. But even if it's two american teams (NJ vs. Anaheim last year), Americans still don't really care.

I say embrace the fact that hockey is not very popular. I for one wouldn't want it to become like basketball or football.
