people only believe in god to give meaning to there lives. thousands of years ago people didn't understand as much as we do know and they needed a reason to why they where here on earth, where they came from etc. there is to much stupidty in religion for it to be true.
it's like someone i was having a discussion with once was going, 'how can the universe just be, someone had to make it'. my reply was, who made god then, how can he just be and the universe couldn't. religion sucks dick and cause's to much anger and war in the world. a way of living like budhist's do is better than beliveing there is just one way the world can be. sorry for that.
back to the question. if there was a god, i wouldn't be prepared, and knowing me when i'm not prepared for something, i'd hit him for being a prick to me all my life. and to the rest of the world.

Edit: This is in response to GothicWolf.

You seem pretty angry to me, despite your apparent lack of religion. And Buddhism seems antithetical to an atheist or humanist approach, which tend to focus on the incredible potential inherent in man, embodied in both libertarian and socialist doctrines. Buddhists would have humankind attain nothing in the real world.

If the world came to an end and i was facing god, i would have one of three thoughts:

1. "Shit."

2. "I can explain!"

3. "Thank goodness Felicia's dead, because I just lost a bet."

Terrorism, global warming, capitalism about to crash.

No the world won't end. It'll just suck more for a while.

About religion, there's one great advantage about it : you stop thinking about some deep stuff to concentrate on more down to earth business. But it is impossible for me to believe in an unproven theory, which what religions are.

don't know where you get the angry bit from. i was just stating my opinion on something that is not needed in the world and we would be better of without. the only reason i respect budhism is cause they don't go round fighting for what they believe in. budhism is a way you can live your life, NOT how you should live your life like your religion. they won't condem you if you don't follow ever rule. and if you actually knew anything about budhism, you'd realise that through meditation you are able to get a greater understanding of things cause your not letting your emotions rule your thoughts. oh and for the bit about 'Buddhists would have humankind attain nothing in the real world', most religions would have use condem people just cause of what colour they are or how they wish to live there life. THAT is attaining nothing in the real world.

I think you're mixing up "religions" and "the religious", Gothic. I never heard Jesus say that he hates negroes.
