No, unfortunately. People here are cooler than my real friends. They never want to do anything.

No, I dont have any "friends" here, or online in general. I've had a few bad experiences and the whole online friend thing creeps me out.

no. i live in the real world. i do tend to make real life friends from 'net friends though. lots of them are letting me stay at their houses when i go to the US in august. that's what friends are for. we ring each other, buy birthday/xmas gifts, etc.

anyone who has way more "friends" on an internet message board than in real life has a bit of a problem, and could do with some fresh air. if they're shy, then sitting at home all day isn't going to increase their confidence in the real world; it's just going to fill them with a false confidence which is will set them back as soon as they go to a pub, or wherever, and have to deal with real people.

Yes, but many of my SG friends are becoming real life friends. The make believe world and the real world of SG are fusing together. Wait, maybe it’s the other way around?

Um.. what if you've met quite a few of your friends through the internet and hang out with them on a regular basis in real life? wink I met my best friend on SG.

If I had less than 2 friends in real life I'd find a mountain and be a grouchy hermit. I never go and make friends in real life... I just meet people and if we get along then cool. It doesn't really work like that online. Oh well, maybe in a few years I'll have like 10 or so on my list. smile I'm in no hurry.

I dunno really. I never thought about it in terms of SG friends being like real life friends. In real life you don't get letters through your letter box asking you to be mates with that guy at the office. There is no formal exchange of profile pics...

I guess not really.

But I work with lawyers and everyone's totally married and really unsociable. I would rather have a very few excellent friends in the real world than loads of frieds who are the equivalent of people who's journals you read and who you arse around on here with.

I'm taking this question too seriously, aren't I? whatever
