I's jus wonderin' 'bout peoples hobbies.

Being here in S. Florida I've taken up the SCUBA. When I lived in Aspen I took up the Snowboardin', When I lived in Santa Fe I took up Mountain Biking, and Hot springs. When I lived in Kansas City I took up bitchin' bout livin in KC.

Which Makes me ponder; are hobbies primarily regional?

What are some of the cool hobbies of SG?

What are your Hobbies? Regional or not.

I quilt. I belong to a quilting guild. I don't know about jersey, but I know PA is big on quilting, the conventions and Amish shops. I made some cool ones like stained glass, a nightmare before christmas one, air force planes, japanese kimonos, and right now I'm making the Ramones seal.

I think it depends on the person. I have moved around a bit but I have found that usually the people that have lived in an area all there lives usually all have pretty much the same hobbies, but people that have lived in different areas are more apt to have varying hobbies. Also the folks you hang out with will influence your hobbies. I knwo that my hobbies have inflitrated some of my friends even though they had no use for them until I introduced them to them.

Dude, Portland way beats out Seattle in H addicts per capita. There's more musicians here, and while not all heroin addicts are musicians, all musicians are heroin addicts. Therefore there are more heroin addicts in Portland. QED. Nyah nyah. I bet Seattle hasn't held that title since Andrew Wood died. tongue

Wow, that is very cool. I had a buddy in college that had an amazing collection of concert tshirts (ramones; cocknoose; Corrosion of conformity; Misfits and the such) We were all appalled (sp?) when he cut them up; but when we saw the bad ass quilt he made in his textile class, there was a definate twang of jealousy in our speech.

I'd love to see some of your work.

thanx for the post

hey great perception. I know I've been influenced in my cooking by dating girls from many cultural backgrounds.

But just to argue do you think that people of like "hobbies" find each other?

Perhaps by thinking of it as an interest rathar than a hobby less attention would be needed and the span would seem negligable

I don't know; thoughts?
