There's no other state that jesse custer could have come from, was really my point. And you've read Preacher, i see, and that whole series is basically ''texas is awesome''.
The entire series. It's more about Texas the myth though than Texas the reality
If anything, it shows the reality to be something terrible. But it's the myth that makes it so awesome. The truth isn't so much the point, as how the myth inspires and intrigues people. Just like the opening issue of the Alamo story-arc, the whole Alamo reality versus myth, it's the storys and the idea that get me.

TX (Jesse Custer was created by an Irishman, TX doesn't get credit) history, but what have they given us lately? Tom the Hammer, G-Dub, no thank you, WY
Well off the top of my head, janis joplin, willie nelson, buddy fucking holly, the reverand horton heat, luke wilson, owen wilson, Shiner Bock, Austin City Limits. Also being the second most populous state in the country we do contribute more to the federal government than most.
but aside from that, not much
What are we basing this on? Every State I have been too has some really great and wonderful things about them, and some real crap things about them.
I like Missouri and Arkansas because the Ozarks are really beautiful. Even if it is man made. (and I know that it is because both my paternal grandparents lived in the counties that now live under water.)
The midwest has a lot to offer. The west coast has a lot to offer. The South has a lot to offer. The east coast...well I never made it further east than Ohio, but the Highway seems very nice.
I mean if we are talking politically, then I dont really know.
The only drawback to the midwest or central part is TORNADOES and HUMIDITY.
Tornadoes scare the shit out of me. I've been in at least 7 of them, and you would think that I would be ok with them, but I really am not!
All storms though scared the piss out of me. I think it stems from the fact that when I was three lightning struck my bedroom, collapsing the ceiling on it. I had just left the room.
When I was 5 in another house, lightning struck my bedroom again. I had just left the room.
Lightning struck the streetlamp outside my bedroom when I was 25.
