if you think tours skip colorado, try living in fucking hawaii. the only time they get anyone remotely good is if they are stopping over on the way to or from asia. it's too expensive to ship all the equipment over just for hawaii.

I was born in denver and raised in englewood. even after living in DC, philly, and new york I still love colorado and miss it a lot. its a beautiful state. and like pretty much any other place, if you know where to go, its a dope place to live. running joke with my friends now is "are there any black people in colorado?" to which I answer "yes and I know them all". har.

anyway, yea sure some tours don't stop through there but most do. I never had a problem, actually...I saw michael jackson twice, janet jackson twice, stevie wonder, whitney houston (hey its was the 80's) - all at mcnichols (sp) arena.

anyway, I'm a cowgirl, always will be. I love the look on people's faces when I tell them thats where I was born. makes me feel kinda unique. be proud, chin up.

Casa Bonita would put ANY state on the map.

I completely agree with Huny though. This state is a freaking blast if you know it well enough. I've lived and visited all over the states and have yet to find a state I'd rather call home.

Who cares about the beach? what can you do at the beach that you cant do at lakes and reservoirs? Oh thats right, get the shit eaten out of you by various aquatic based animals! haha All you low land states think your states better because there's so much oxygen in the air your high! This is also the reason only certain bands can play here. The ones that don't do so because they don't want to be gasping on stage. Kind of a bummer when the band ends the show halfway through. Hippies in Colorado generally tend to congregate in certain areas but definitely aren't the only demographic here (true there are a lot in those certain areas though)

Bahahaha!

I keep finding 5 or 6 year old threads being revived... I'm starting to wonder if it's a glitch or something.

Bettina May and Go Go Amy AKA Pretty Things Productions will be here in July, so it can't be that bad...

When I moved here from SF, I was incredibly disappointed in the backwards ass music scene and blazing lilly whiteness of the place, but I came to climb, and really do love it here.

I have no idea what this thread was all about. But I do know that Colorado = Great Divide, Avery, Oskar Blues, Left Hand, Odell, and New Belgium breweries, so you're A-OK with me.
