Ever since I can remember the state where i was born and grewup in has always been ignored by anything cool that wasn't just "passing through" while on tour. Often times people never give colorado a second thought unless some little thing reminds them of it, the TV show South Park being an example, and then it slips into the back of our minds and into obscurity once again. All though at times Denver can be a rater socialy active place, it usualy is just another one of those things that passes through and is forgotten. Granted a majority of the population is a little too laid back, due to liberal drug enforcement laws, and the state is in the middle of fucking nowhere. i personly belive that Colorado has eminse petental to be what may be reffered to as a party town if more people visited it and took advantage of the lesser known venues, such as the gothic theater in englewpood, located throughout the state. i guess all i'm sayin is to give that square looking state a chance and give it a bit more recognition.

Colorado has the potential to be known as a party town?

The whole fucking state = party town?

confused

Maybe Colorado is treated like the middle child because, well, it's in the middle.

And you guys don't have beaches. I'm staying right here, thanks. biggrin

Not only is this theater in the fine town of Englewood, Colorado, but it has managed to disrupt the space-time continuum so as to be located simultaneously throughout the state!

That was perfect blend of sarcasm and precision word usage of which I've never seen before. Excellent.

hell... if you think tours and what not skip colorado all the time, try living in utah. The tours and stuff generally just skip salt lake and hit denver, and figure, eh, close enough. Granted, I really can't blame them...

I've never been there. I have a lot of coworker-friends from there. I've heard that there's really good skiing there. I don't know much else than the usual except for there being a lot of good microbrews in Colorado. That's about it.

Fuck, I was just about to bitch about that. You, as is to be expected, entriely overlooked Utah. We are a state populated by more middle children than any other state. When you see us in old family photos, you think to yourself "I recognize that sweater, but I can't quite place the face."

Also... I almost moved to Colorado, when I left New Mexico. Kinda glad I ended up in Texas, instead, because I don't miss a lot of shows. Except Eddie Izzard.

California may be hip, but we didn't have no Anasazi.

Of course I don't remember us being owned by France either.
