My dad breeds big birds. He had 5 African Greys, 20 or 30 lorries (4 different kinds) parotlettes, and about 80 others that I don't recall.
I've clipped a cockatoo's wings with him. that's still a damned big beaked bird.
I have a budgie that is about 6 years old and thinks she's a chick-a-dee.
I think I would just be so shocked at seeing a bald eagle that I'd let it tear me apart.
However, either way, kestrels do try to hold their own against larger birds of prey.
