I am learning....

Cathartes Aura (Turkey Vulture, aka carrion crow, buzzard) DO call Minnesota home.

They usually wait until you're dead. skull

My dad breeds big birds. He had 5 African Greys, 20 or 30 lorries (4 different kinds) parotlettes, and about 80 others that I don't recall.
I've clipped a cockatoo's wings with him. that's still a damned big beaked bird.
I have a budgie that is about 6 years old and thinks she's a chick-a-dee.
whatever

I like budgies!

Turkey vultures are gentle, intelligent and inquisitive, I am reading... they just look scary.

I have a similar question to the first now. the photos reminded me.

what would be scarier to attacked by:
a condor or a bald eagle.

sure condors are bigger but they look like they'd be weak to me. whereas I think an eagle could snap my arm like a twig.

I think I would just be so shocked at seeing a bald eagle that I'd let it tear me apart.
However, either way, kestrels do try to hold their own against larger birds of prey.

I think I'd be more afraid of the pengin, especially if he was packing heat.
