I have issue 12 and I think I am now going to subscribe. Anyother fiction fans dig McSweeney's?

I love McSweeney's! They publish a monthly Believer Mag that is also excellent. Check out the site at believermag.com

McSweeney's is great. I'm looking forward to the all-comic issue 13.

What about that Pirate Supply store in SF and the upcoming Superhero supply store in NYC? It's an eccentric's wet dream.

The staff at McSweeney's are a bunch of assholes.

Blah. I like some of Dave Eggers' work that I've seen outside of the magazine, but that mock-Victorian lots-of-capitalized-words type-all-jammed-together schtick is so '99. puke

UnnecessaryZThe staff at McSweeney's are a bunch of assholes.

I've only had to deal with them once, and they were kind enough to fulfill a request of mine. Other than that, I don't have to deal with them when I read the quarterly, so that doesn't really affect my opinion of it.

I can only assume that you're referring to one of the issues I don't have (perhaps one from '99 wink ). I'm actually not a big fan of Eggers, but the quarterly has some good fiction and bizarre humor.
