Code Veronica seemed ok to me, as did REmake. But Im with you on RE3.
RE4 is a step away from the previous games though in that there are no zombies. The enemies you face are sorta diseased humans that can run and use weapons and stuff. It should still be good judging by the videos...but its still dissapointing we won't be getting the classic, shambling Romero zombies.

Haha, I already have a Gamecube! Muwhaahaha! I bought it when the RE remake came out, and that was the only reason for the purchase...that and RE Zero and now RE4 
My Gamecube has known no other series but Resident Evil. Sad, huh?
