yeah i'm a adult. a big bad mean pissed off adult. i like the fact that i can give a big 'fuck you' to anything that concerns me and people might actually listen to me now , as opposed to kicking my ass cos i'm out of my depth (which they did when i was 17).
i enjoy living away from the folks and drinking too much although i hate voting. it sucks. even though i can.

does that make sense?

Ehhh I still feel weird calling myself "a woman" and I never date "men" I date "guys" or "boys" ya know? I'm not in adult mode yet. I don't know if I ever will be.... But I'm fine with being a kid for a while biggrin

I've never felt like an adult. I don't feel like I've grown up, or changed since I was 12. I still feel like a child and I have a 14 year old body.

Grow older, not up. I'm mature and responsible in all the important ways, and like a kid in all the others.

Almost at 25 I know I'm close, people almost listen to me like I have something to say. Sometime in the next couple of years the I'm sure the changeover will occur. I'm already rolling my eyes at teens, shaking my head, thinking, "kids".

" the best part of being an Adult, is being able to buy ALL the candy I want, whenever the hell I want it".......fuck......the dentist bill just came ::scribble scribble:: (writes out a check) <--- Adulthood. i want candy, i buy candy. i go to the dentist. i pay the dentist.

I think what makes a person an adult is being able to balance their desires with reality. Taking responcibility for your actions, learning from mistakes and supporting yourself in the fashion you are comfortable with and improving yourself and your life when needed to me are the tops factors in being an "adult". basically in my eyes you are an adult when you are responcible for yourself and take care of yourself.

It depends... My maturity can jump from 80 to 8 in about 30 seconds. But yes, I'd consider myself an adult because I live on my own, work, go to school and have independant control of my life.

I don't consider myself either.

I'm an adult I guess. I go through the motions of acting like one, so might as well label myself as one.

I'm so torn on this issue mainly b/c of my age. I'm 28 and have been taken care of most of my "adult" life. Now that I have to actually do things on my own (I'm in the middle of a divorce) it's scary as shit. I didn't have all those early years to learn to do things on my own. I'm a big kid anyway. I feel like I'm a teenager most of the time. I really don't like being an adult. I don't wanna be a teenager, but if I could stay 23 or so...that would be perfect for me. I just wish that I had the expierence of most 28 year olds like dealing with money, paying bills, basically just taking care of yourself and not relying on anyone. I've been thrown out there now though..so guess I'll just have to get used to it.
