Ok I'm 22 soon to be 23 and just began a relatioship with a 33 year old woman. Right off the bat I let her know that I am very comfortable with the thought of being a parent in the near future(I did this because she has been talking about adopting children in the near future). Anyway this seemed to surprise her very much. She told me that she has never dated anyone that is ok with the idea of being a parent, let alone ready to be one. This got me thinking on a variety of issues.
Do any of you guys/gals actual want to be parents?
How old do you want to be when you are a parent?
What age do you consider to be to young to have children?
Do you think society artificially delays parenthood beyond when nature intended? If so do you think this is a bad thing?
Do you think it is important for one parent to stay home with the children?
How do you feel about raising children in a household that includes their parents and grandparents?
What is more important to you, growing up with your children or already being a middle aged experienced adult when you have children?
Anyway I look forward to hearing your replies as I find SG to be an excellent place to discuss the issues of life.
