Wow, that's some crazy, scary, fucked up shit. But fascinating at the same time. Amazing. And your title shouldn't say you hate bees, it should say you hate hornets. I can't stand bees, but I actually felt sorry for them while watching that.

very scary... i have an extremely irrational fear of all bugs ... i wouldn't go out on our patio for a while because there was a giant wasp type thing flying around .. living in florida isn't the best for someone who is afraid of bugs.. blackeyed

Damn! I'm with Roxy I don't like bees either but I felt sorry for them as well. Also my dislike for bees is nothing when compared to my fear of wasps...and now thanks to this hornets too.

so much goes on on a small level, people have no idea sometimes.
ants wage war all the time, we have a nest of tiny black ants under our garden.
the ants are small and harmless but the nest is huge, it has little exit tunnels all over the garden on all three sides of the house.
normally you see them lugging around seeds and bits and bobs all summer but for some reason last year they learned to hunt and kill bumblebees.

it was really incredible, to the ants the bumblebee was about the size of a house but whenever a bumblebee landed on a flower near them dozens of ants would swarm up the stem, cling to the bumblebee causing it to stumble and fall to the ground where dozens and dozens of other ants swarmed it.
the ants are so small compared to the bumblebee that it literally took them hours to kill a single bee with the bee crawling over the ground and the ants trying to keep it down on the ground with their numbers while others attacked.
really a amazing sight to see them work together like that.

hours? i couldn't watch ants for more than a few minutes without stomping on them or breaking out the spray can full of soapy water. while i admire the tenacity and teamwork displayed by ants, i can't stand the fuckers. and i don't mean in a frightened way, but in an irrational full of hate way... whatever

i love ants and all the other bugs in our garden, i love seeing ants stream out of their little tunnels to drag back all kinds of debris and stuff.
i can seriously just take a lawnchair and sit back for a afternoon to watch them busy about.

ants busying around their tunnels, bumblebees wobbling their big yellow ass from flower to flower, there's always tiny yellow jumping spiders on the walls and outside doors of the house and so much more.
one of the most special moments each spring for me is seeing the first butterfly of the year.

As a tip for y'all out there, don't, I repeat don't smack a hornet with a tennis racket.

Bugs are cool, except those which are on your ass like mosquitos and wasps. They deserve to be dipped in paint thinner and ignited.

I am hearing ya Conry. I was a camp counselor one summer, and one of my kids got stung by a bee/wasp or something. I wanted to make her feel better, so I was goign to go show those bees who's boss. I smacked the pipe she said they came from and was assaulted by Yellowjackets.

Not good times. The little girl did think I was her hero though, for fighting for her tongue

Would your mind even be capable of handling it if they actually used a soundtrack by W.A.S.P.?

When I was about fifteen, I threw a rock a hornet’s nest that had attached itself to my little sister’s playhouse; I figured I would be able to outrun the swarm. I was wrong. One of them blasted out like a shotgun round and stung me square in the chest. It knocked the wind out of me but I managed to stumble into the house. Those fuckers, are fast.

That's why you replace "threw a rock" with "shotgun blast", and "outrun" with "bottle of Jack Daniel's".

Amateur. wink
