When I think of Jack Dangers I think of an old pulp hero who leaps from a crashing airplane onto the peak of a snowy mountaintop while losing his hat. But of course in many ways the real Jack Dangers is even more exciting. Hes the founder of Meat Beat Manifesto, the post-industrial dance music kings, which included programmer Jonny Stephens. Dangers has become an industry upon himself when he established the record label Tino Corp which has released a myriad of remixes and Meat Beat records.

good to see Jack Dangers is busy creating new things, seeeminly untouched by the over-commercialization of music. He is one of the first to really give a new scope to sampling, elarging what was mainly, in those days, detuned orchestra hits and ethnic flute à la Peter Gabriel.
re: his label
i think the dismissal of major companies and pseudo-indies will see more and more a new brand of labels directed by the artists themselves. less sales (cos less promo and easiness of twisting the arm of the radioguy like majors can, sometimes) but closer to the actual music lover who buys the record (and eventually more $ in their pockets and that is deserved !)
thanks for the interview! MBM has been one of my biggest influences, and JD always seems to be miles ahead of everyone. what seperated him from all the other early electronic acts is that his stuff never sounds dated.
