I'm lost
December 2003

In a recent Chicago Sun-Times Article, it was revealed that "Matrix" co-creator Larry Wachowski is about to undergo a sex-change operation.

According to those close to the extremely reclusive duo, Larry is about to finally become "Linda.'' Wachowski, who has been living and dressing as a woman for some time, reportedly is preparing to take the final step and have sex-change surgery. As always, it was impossible to get any comment from the press-shy Wachowskis, but several longtime friends of the Rogers Park native confirm Wachowski is planning to complete the process of becoming a woman

Suddenly, some of those scenes in the last two films make a bit more sense...

That's funny, I heard a rumor of this like a year ago and presumed it was bullshit.

Cause I mean seriously, what are the odds?

This has potential, the Coen brothers could write it, the Farrelly brothers could direct it, and the Wachowskis can star in a Some Like It Hot remake.

I feel like I shouldn't believe this. It's too wierd.

Not wierd that he wants to become a woman, just wierd that someday we can say to our children "And shortly after the release of the third movie, one of them BECAME A WOMAN".

Crazy.

This is going to seriously hurt their legacy for that very reason. If there's anything I've learned from Danielle Berri's undeserved lack of fame, it's that when you change your sex you force every person who talks about you to have to decide, before they even mention your name, if they're going to refer to you as a Mr. or a Ms. Most people are uncomfortable enough with facing that crisis that they'd rather avoid mentioning you at all. A peety.

Go buy a time machine and maybe you'll actually surprise me with this news.

Okay, that was a bit snarky, I understand people get their news at different times. Took me until 6th grade to figure out Dave Grohl was the drummer from Nirvana. But still, I've known this for so long.

If I had anything to do with the crap that was Reloaded/Revolutions, I'd want to do everything possible to change what I had become, too.

One day this will become passe.
It's just another form of body modification.
It doesn't change anything about the person, it just lets them express themselves in a very profound and different way.

Dude, transgenderism is a proper thing. Male transgendered people have female brains. And tentacles. Or is that just in hentai? I forget.

There was a tabloid story about one of the Wachowski Brothers a year ago, cited from his ex-wife, about his propensity for cross dressing and S&M fetishes. This doesnt surprise me that much.
