I am a proud member of the NLA.
And if the governent thinks they can take my lasers I have a bandolier with 100, err.. laser things in it. Plus pockets that I keep starburst in.

lasers are good. but I'm still favoring projectile fed weaponry. something about the "umph" of lead hitting the target, the "kachunk" of the cartridge singing out of the chamber and clattering on the ground, I dunno... it's just so familiar. much more tactile than a "Bzzpt!"

Lasers are wicked awesome. Got my degree in that subject. I worked as a Laser Test Technician for a couple of years too. robot

Rapid Prototyping, or more specifically Stereolithography, is one of the cooler new applications. Basically a laser is scanned through a vat of polymer resin, which is induced by the ultraviolet laser light to cure at the point of focus. By adjusting the focal point within the X, Y, and Z axis, successive layers can be built upon each other to form a solid piece usable for real-world testing, which could yield a better product for less money.

This reminded about that movie "Real Genius". It has awesome laser-ness.

"Was it a dream where you see yourself in, sort of, Sun God robes, on a pyramid, with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at you?"
