Yup. I still haven't forgiven him. wink

Even if this story is fake, I'm creeped the fuck out. Being arachnophobic, the idea of dying from spider attack and then having my body COVERED in them... *shuddershuddershudderconvulseasthmadies*

hissing cockroaches...shudder...
I once did battle with a cockroach...when i was 13. I woke from a horrible dream that a cockroach that landed on my face. When i woke up there was A COCKROACH ON MY FACE!! puke puke
I proceeded to battle with it for the better part of 2 hours. My weapon of choice: a broom.

The bastard FLEW! By the way, this was in the Hawaii where the cockroaches get to the size of those madeline cookies.

He kept going behind corners and crevices so I wouldn't get him. Then I would think he was dead. 5 minutes later, he would fly up in my face-just to taunt me.

When I finally got him, I triumphantly beat his corpse over and over again and left it there for 2 days-I wanted to show off my trophy.

When I finally went to throw him away, he was GONE! I'm convinced he's sitting in a cave somewhere on crutches, plotting my demise.

Roaches-even the name grosses me out. I shudder when I see the Urban Decay eyeshadow "Roach".

Blech.

i don't think it's real either, spiders have to liquify what they eat so they generally don't actually eat people and after being bitten by a very mean tokkeh a few times i seriously doubt they have the muscle strength to rip of bits of human flesh for consumption.

i just submitted the story because i thought it was original and amusing tongue

I had thought I read about it on CNN, but evidently not.

Here is another edition...

I love the line "Some of his spiders are so aggressive they're the equivalent of the pit-bull in the animal world."

Does that strike anyone else as hilarious?

yesereeedoodaa...should have been the dalmation equivalent or maybe the chow equivilant...

...it's usually the owner's training that decides the aggressiveness anyway...

Smells like crap to me.

1. Black widows aren't all that dangerous
2. How do they know what one of 200 spiders a crazed loner kept was named
3. There is no way to tell if someone has been envenomated without a tox screen which hadn't been done.
4. There's really no way to check for a spider bites on a body thats been ravaged by insects and reptiles for over a week.
5. Termites don't eat people.
5. All the details and in fact most of the wording in all the articles are exactly the same, suggesting a common source.

In short it has all the hallmarks of an urban legend. It could be true, or partly true, but the fact is that no paper checks its weird news items, and quite frankly an awful lot of these bizarre occurrences in exotic locales stories are false or wildly inaccurate. I read a book a few months ago where (among other things) the author went to China to verify a really gruesome story about corpse desecration at the local crematory. The story was picked up by Reuters, distributed worldwide, named the people involved, the whole nine, and there wasn't a shred of truth to it.

Yes they actually can in some cases.Either left untreated and an infection gets into the blood stream (excruciating pain) or one can actually be allergic to the poisons and in result suffer a cardiac arrest.
