I was sick 6 years in a row on my birthday. Chicken pox once, two flus, three colds and an ear infection.

My last birthday was excellent though. Had a lovely party with some fun people. Hopefully this year will be just as good.

i hate birthdays. i almost drowned on my 6th birthday. my mom moved away before my 17th birthday, and my stepmom said they'd get me chinese food as a treat then didn't, and refused to get me a cake. 19th birthday was awful. i don't want to even get into all the reasons why. probably one of my worst birthdays ever, in any event, and my birthdays are never fun.

I could tell some sad sob story of a girl blowing out my 10th birthday cake candles and me freaking out and being dragged out of my own party and not allowed any cake.

But that would be depressing.
Eh?

Depressing?
That's sooo hardcorebiggrin
Both my 18th and 21st sucked and I didn't do anything special for either frown

Oh...my 18th. I almost forgot.

One of my roommates and I have the same birthday. At the time we were living in different parts of the city but still going to university. He called me in the afternoon and said he'd stop by after class so we could go get a drink to celebrate. He never showed up. After a while I got really bored and wandered down to the campus bar to get a drink by myself. He was there, with other people, completely smashed. I had one drink and left.

the only "holy shit that was fun" birthday i've ever had was my 21st. or when i turned five and had a mcdonald's birthday. the cake ruled. every other birthday has just been another day. robot

my 19th birthday sucked shit. i was alone in moncton nb, it was pouring rain, and the one open restaurant didn't have vodka. my first day as a legal canadian drinker, and there was no vodka. i didn't even get a free dessert.

fucking moncton.

but of course my 20th birthday kicked ass. spent it in a little town called kafue, in zambia. lots of really cheap beer, really drunk people who spoke no english, and a birthday cake that tasted awful but really, at that point, it was totally the thought that counted.

My 21st birthday I dropped a 8 pound weight on my head.
My 18th birthday I was having my wisdom teeth removed.
My 27th birthday I spent in the hospital, with a broken back.
My 30th birthday everyone at my party threw up, except me, so guess who got to clean it all up??? Talk about sobering up quickly.

(my 30th, my friend who shares my birthday, made this nasty vodka turkiska peppar (HOT CANDY) mixture, that everyone besides myself drank..hence the only non vomitting party person in the house)

I really wanted to go to the states before my 21st because it was my last chance for the oh so much sweeter illicit alcohol consumption but alas it wasn't to be.

You should try xmas mate, it sucks.

two grandparents admitted to nursing homes, three years of illness, dumped on xmas eve twice, once on new years eve. On a court charge facing jail one year, one car written off by a drink driver on xmas eve with all the presents in it. I spent the small hours of one xmas day sat in the road in the rain picking small bits of glass out of piles of childrens toys surreal

Last year I took to many drugs and passed out in the bath, had quite a meeting of minds with a razor that was resting itself on the edge.

For my 16th bday, I had kept teasing my mom that I wanted a car... knowing full well that was way too much to ask for. The day after my bday, my mom walks into my room and hands me some keys, tells me my birthday present was in the driveway... then hands me my savings account book. She drained my savings of over $1200 that I earned from working my ass off for like 3 summers and bought me a piece of shit car which didn't run that I didn't even pick out with my OWN MONEY!
Then to top it off, a month later at christmas, all I got was crap for the car like mud flaps and windshield wipers and a steering wheel cover. That whole 2 months sucked hard core.
