Birthday let downs

Before my 21st birthday I was wondering if I went into 7-11 10 minutes before midnight and they IDed me if they would make me wait until 10 the minutes had passed. Now everytime I've gone into this 7-11, they've always IDed my friends, everytime.

So I went in...11:50PM, slammed down a 40oz on the counter, and the guy didn't even ID me.

What a let down...I wanted to argue with him about it

I could tell some sad sob story of a girl blowing out my 10th birthday cake candles and me freaking out and being dragged out of my own party and not allowed any cake.

But that would be depressing.

There was the time when I turned 18 in London and I did a pub crawl.

I was supposed to go to tahoe for my birthday this year. but I didn't have anybody to go with me. I was sad.

People always forget mine because it's so close to Christmas. The one time I tried to have a party, four people (out of fifty) showed up.

On my 21st birthday..I spent it alone..my ex hubby was deployed to Iraq and I really didn't know anyone in the town that I lived in. So I got drunk and passed out on the couch.

I moved to New York city the day before my 24th birthday. On my birthday, neither of my roommates were there, the three people I knew in New York were on vacation elsewhere, and I didn't know anywhere to go. So I sat at home, watching TV by myself. I think that was the worst birthday I've had.

By those standards I'm yet to know if my birthday will be a success...

I spent my 18th birthday having an operation on my arsehole. That bad enough for you?

lets see my birthday that just past sucked hard all i got to show fo rit was a hangover that lasted for days and pinkeye.

My embittered ex got married on my birthday last year, and sent me a wedding notice too. I think I felt more sorry for her than anything else, but nonetheless it was sort of a letdown.

I think you need some new friends.

My dad forgot my birthday one year. Actually this year we haven't even celebrated my birthday yet.. and it was in December.

My birthday was 2 weeks ago. It was a let down for the most part. I didn't go anywhere and I didn't get drunk. I was just sad for days afterward b/c I was yet, another year older.

Well the 21 is coming up in about 2.5 months. I'll let you know if it's a success... after I start breathing again.

every year is a birthday let down. Birthday's aren't a big deal in my family. It's basically just another day.
