Shoot me a PM if you'd like. I'm going in for spinal fusion surgery later this month. My dad recently had both hips and both knees replaced. (not all at the same time) We're a family of recovering messes.

Expect LOTS of physical therapy. Load up your Netflix, get some recommendations on good books and then be prepared to be too tired and or dopey to do any of that for a while. Make sure you have someone that can take care of you and watch over you for a while. My dad had his hip replacement slip out of socket a couple weeks after surgery while getting out of a recliner. My mother wasn't home and it was a while of screaming horrific pain before he got to the phone to call an ambulance. Which brings me to, LISTEN TO EVERYTHING they tell you in physical therapy. There are going to be very specific angles at which you can and cannot move in the beginning. Do not push those boundaries.

If you have any other questions, shoot me a message. Best wishes on a smooth and speed recovery. kiss

Appreciate the replies, lawlz, i'm going to try and avoid the walker for a little bit since i'm just about to turn 22. I think a cane would be pretty sweet, i'd like that more than crutches at least, see too many people on crutches on my base.

Also, here is a picture of a kitten. Just because kittens are fucking rad.
