I need to sweep this girl off her feet. I'm not very creative. I've been brainstorming for a few days and the best thing i came up with was getting drunk and fucking.
So: whats the best/most creative/romantic-ish date you've ever been on?
Or do you have favorite date activities?
thanks

If this is a first date, avoid the movies. You won't be able to talk and get to know each other. tongue

Going for dinner and drinks is classic, and it gives you a chance to talk. After that, go for a walk somewhere nice.

If you want to wow her, cook dinner and either have it set out on your table or make something cold that you can take to a park. Most parks have picnic tables. I'd be head over heels for a guy if he cooked for me.

You don't have to buy a bouquet, but buying her a flower or two would be nice. Not a lot of people do that anymore, unless it's a birthday or some Hallmark holiday. frown I wish the tradition would return.

I don't really go on official dates often, but I can tell you about the best time I had with someone I was getting to know. We went to Chicago and got dinner at the Billy Goat Tavern (famous for that SNL bit "cheezborger cheezborger cheezborger") on Navy Pier. After that, we walked to the Shakespearean Theatre and watched "A Winter's Tale".

When that ended, it was nighttime, so we rode on the Ferris Wheel and looked at the city skyline. We could hear classical music piped through the speakers on the boardwalk, so I started conducting and humming my favorite parts. (I'm a nerd). That started a discussion about our favorite pieces.

While at the top, it was pretty cold, so he put his arm around me and snuggled me in. It was a very comfortable evening and the best "date" I've ever had.

I don't know, it seems to me you already gave him some pretty good advice. The whole cooking and flowers thing seems pretty good.

I have never actually been on a real date, so I couldn't say from my own experience.

Most girls I talk to don't go on date dates anymore.
She's a real good cook so i'm a bit wary about cooking for her. The thought usually gets some bonus points even if i mess up the food. It's kind of cute, right?
I'm probably over thinking it. Right now i need to get her to commit to a time so she cant worm out of it.
keep the advice comin!

Take her to Lucky Lou's. Get her drunk. There ya go.
Ok, I'm kidding
You should take her to Gasepi's(sp?). You know, that italian restaraunt on Locust (I think)? That's a good place to take somebody on a date.
Then go for a walk. I like walks. You get a lot of talking done.

I'm just trying to help a brotha-Dentonite out here.
