The more pictures I see of people with their lip pierced the more facinated I am by that piercing. I always thought it looked great on that guy from Blink 182 (forgive me for not knowing his name) as I would stare at his lips whenever he came on screen.
It's so sexy how it draws your eye to the mouth. It kind of teases you in that it gets closer than many people can even hope to get sorta way. Especially through a nice pair of full, red lips.
My words are failing me miserably.
Anyhoo...I've grown a whole new appreciation for them.

I think they're hot. I want one, but I'm afraid that they'd freak out at work.
Precisely why I don't have one already. I get away with my eyebrow piercing pretty much because between my glasses and my bangs it often goes unnoticed.
I'm with TANK_Ex_Mortis on the length of time it takes to heal only it's not a matter of patience. If it healed pretty quickly I'd be able to take it out at the office, but alas.
I'll have to be pierced vicariously through the images of others. *sigh*
my s/o has a really small vert. labret, they are the coolest piercings because they don't screw with your gums or teeth and stuff, unless you are dead set on a hoop, consider the vert labret, they are hawt!
The first thing I ever got done was my lip ring, and its still probably my favourite piercing. I've never had a problem with it at work or any of my mods, and was told by my union rep that any problem people may have with them apart from health and safety are discrimination.
Lip piercings are cool. I just had trouble eating for first few days and continuously had problems with forks for the first two weeks. Yeah I am not very coordinated with forks.
I agree with SuicideBomb. I had my lip pierced for about 3 years and I thought it was my easiest piercing. I was eating regular food about 2 days later and the healing process was pretty fast. Although everyone heals at a different pace.
I'm in love with lip piercings. Mine are probably my favorite piercings. And I adore them on other people as well, I just think they're incredibly sexy. I didn't really have much of a problem with mine... they were sore for the first few days, but that's to be expected.
And no, they don't hurt when I eat, or I wouldn't have them. I don't even feel them anymore.

I've always wondered do those hoops hurt when you eat? What does it feel like?
Does everyone posting this thread wear glasses?
it is weird the first day, or it was for me. It felt like i had something caught on my lip. It is my favourite piercing, I want to get the other side done soon. I love mine.
I have my lip pierced in the center, but I don't wear a ring, I like my little spike. I went out to eat about half an hour after getting it and it was totally no big deal.

I used to do the same thing eveytime I would see someone with a lip ring, I would get all tingly in all the right places. Fortunately I have that everyday since my hubby has his lip pierced. yippy!
I've had 3 lip piercings, and none healed completely. They would get irritated after long makeouts, and after having one out for 8 hours it closed enough to not be able to put the ring back in. So I took 'em all out.
