Did you know that Transformers is a propaganda film produced by Toyota? Or that The Hangover was made by the recreational drug industry in order to convince people that blacking out is fun? Or that the new Maggie Gyllenhaal flick Won't Back Down is a propaganda piece by the people who want to privatize education?...I have a confession to make. Those first two sentences were lies. (But that last one is true.)
So the states are obligated to provide education, and they do this by hiring teachers.
In almost all states they are required to join a union. Also it is worth noting some states show reciprocity for other state's accreditation, but it is not an easy task to move states.
So now the union decides to strike, and the state has no teachers teaching. It is illegal for the teachers not to join the union, and it is illegal not to provide an education. So, what's a state to do?
Since we are forced to have public education, there is simply no option by those hired to perform this job to elect not to do it. The teachers must teach, it is the law.
Public employee unions make my brain implode. This is essentially designed to break the law.
If we want to change the law fine, say all students must go to school. But what if there were options? Something like all motorists in a particular state must be insured. We don't have to choose any specific auto insurance, and if Allstate goes on strike, I'll still have other options.
I must say I can't wait to watch this movie. My grandmother and sister are teachers, and they agree with me too.
Propaganda is fine as long as it's labeled as such. It's not like this movie has that much hidden under the covers, from what I can tell.

Well stated. Clear, to the point, and 100% factual. Personally, I'd like to have seen the CTU broken, but instead Rham caved like the true progressive he is...
