I was bored one day, and pondering over the card games that I've never really had a chance to play, like "Pokemon," and "Magic: The Gathering." Though when I was 8 I think I played the Star Wars card game...
And I thought, wouldn't it be great to have a fun card game with deep gameplay... and beautiful naked suicide girls?
Anyone interested in this kinda thing at all?
Stats on the cards are merely for gameplay value, they're not meant to reflect the actual girl its based on.
solid concept, but i'm a bit fuzzy on the mechanics. You should probably work out a system of stats/abilities, and a win/lose system. I for one would be interested in assisting assuming you're still working on this.
I can also offer some help with card design, it won't be the first game I've helped engineer, though it will only be the second card game.
Let me know whats going on with this when you can.
SG monopoly, thats awesome!
The reason I was posting here was because I was hoping for some help with the game play mechanics. As I mentioned, I never have really played card games like this. So any ideas and suggestions are welcome. Cuz i dont even really know basic CCG conventions.
I would avoid numerically quantifying attractiveness on the cards. That's something that is both inherently subjective and somewhat counter to SG's approach. The closest you should probably come to that is maybe increasing "sexiness" through gameplay as a goal. Something like putting together a hand that increases your chosen SG's sexiness to the maximum amount, at which point her set goes pink.
I could leave out sexiness, and just give them a rating on something less subjective, if u think it would be an issue. Obviously the numbers weren't meant to represent the actual girl but rather they were just the for gameplay value.
If you put someone's name on something and then start putting numbers next to it, most people are going to assume that the numbers are related to the real person. So if you put in a sexiness rating and make Radeo sexier than Opaque, then the game is saying that the real Radeo is sexier than the real Opaque. People aren't going to view those as gameplay values with no meaning outside the game, they're going to view them as real ratings of real people. That kind of comparison is a really bad idea for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is that I, personally, prefer Opaque. I'm sure others prefer Radeo, and some prefer neither over the other.
If you're going to make a game that SG members enjoy playing, you're going to want to allow players to maintain their own subjectivity in the game. My favorite SG is Snow. If you give her a low sexiness rating, then I have a choice: I can either use my favorite SG, even though it puts me at a disadvantage to do so and I don't agree with the stats on the card anyway; or I can not use my favorite SG in a game that is about SG. Neither of those is a good, fun choice, so the best option is to not force me, as a player, to make it.
I need an idea.
Right now I have the Girls cards separated by 'level' (bronze, silver, gold and diamond), as well as a 'type' (Shy, Colorful, Extravagant, conservative). I dont think these 'types' really work, or make sense. i mean, are Suicide girls conservative or shy at all? haha
SO i need ideas for new 'types,' and i'm willing to take a whole new direction with the 'type' categories.
any ideas?
Nationality?
North American - South American - Asian - European - African
IDK nationality in a card could be interesting. Maybe similar nationality could give bonuses or an inherent ability. Might not be politically correct ,but fuck it. In magic certain creature types either give stat increases to cards of the same type. Most card game have a resource pool in order to play cards. For cost to play certain cards maybe certain hair colors or activities could be what you tap. Ah tap...
Idk just throwing stuff out there.
