Isn't that illegal as hell? I mean, if you're car's skidding down the road, seems to me that you'd have a lot less control of it, thus creating a driving hazard. Not to mention the sparks coming out from behind your car being another driving hazard.

I don't get all these car modification fads at all. The lowering, the Fast & The Furious-esque body kits, the hydrolics... none of them make any sense to me at all. Though I will confess to a guilty pleasure: I love it when some goofy little Vin Diesel wannabe rolls up next to me at a stoplight in his tricked out import and wants to race me, and I smoke the living shit out of them in my completely stock Trans Am.

And the really great part? They just got owned by a GIRL!! Muah-ha-ha-ha!!! biggrin

Fucking idiots. If you want a fast car, buy one to begin with! And take off that goddamn muffler that makes your car sound like a riding lawnmower while you're at it. Amplify your exhaust all you want, dipshit, you're still driving a P.O.S. 4-cylinder.

there's very little danger of a spark igniting the fuel tank, unless there is a leak that you don't know about. plus the types of people who perform said mod on their cars only really do it for auto shows.

some days, it feels like my car is going to do that, but it's probably due to the slow leak in my front tire...

I have a nice little 2110cc powered '68. It's actually kinda quiet as far as flat 4's go. 4 bangers forever. And for the record I hate ricers too, which is why I spend my money on what goes on the inside. V8s beware.

No, I have no problem with the 4-cyl Boxer engine. It's engineered to be fast, right out of it's crate. There's no horseshit bolt-ons, turbos or John Deere mufflers stapled to it in an attempt to make it pump out more horses. It's legitimate, in my eyes. Engineered for horsepower. Pure. I admire that.

My problem lies with all those that think they're Honda Accord is going to actually stand a chance against my 455c.i. GM manual 6-speed. They're not. No matter how many spoilers, ground effects, noisey mufflers or nifty-keen carbon-fiber decals they slap on their car, I'll still be able to smoke them off the line. They only way they'll have any kind of chance to keep up with me is with a NOS.

Did you know that NOS adds roughly 10,000 miles to your engine every time you hit the button? No kidding.

I just don't get it. Why invest all that money to make your car go faster when you could have easily taken all that money and bought something fast in the first place? I just see it as an amazing waste of money. But, hey, to each their own.

Just don't cry when I blow the doors of your Nissan.
