Two questions:

Who has a really cluttered, messy bedroom? I'm interested to see the male v. female spread, and also your definition of what a cluttered, messy room is.

What if you went to a potential paramour's place for the first time, and their bedroom was a disaster zone? Thoughts?

I can't handle clutter, or gross things, like day old dishes. I am a minimalist in terms of figurines, paper stacks, and random dust collecting objects. I don't keep framed pictures of anyone. Those things collect dust. I abhor dust.

I do have a laundry pile issue, however. I don't always make my bed, but I give the whole place a good scrub down on a regular basis.

If I am in a person's room and it smells weird, or their bed seems funky, I am out.

I used to live in a house crammed with crap. My brother and I gave up almost a year of out lives each to clean that thing out. While I think that my current bed room is messy (I need to put away the laundry I hung up yesterday), it's nothing comapred to what I used to live with. In high school, I kid you not, I had a trash pile next to my bed.....

When I was in high shcool, a student wrote an article for the student news paper says that his messy room was like his messy life, and once he had the life thing untangled he might find a way to orgnaize his room. Of course he latter OD's on something that was reportedlly provided to him by the lead singer of Ministry.....

I'm a neat freak. But just to make your survey a little weird.. I used to be a total slob. And I mean complete and total slob. For example.. once my brother, sister and I were playing nintendo in our basement, and were expecting friends to come over, so we left the door unlocked for them. About an hour later, we heard the front door open, and people walking around. So we shouted that we were in the basement. No one came down, as my friends had decided that they were not going to come over. So we called the cops. When the cops came, they searched the house, and upon seeing my bedroom, they said... "perhaps you should clean up this mess, anyone could hide under any of this stuff and you would never know it."

To answer your second question. I get so turned off by clutter. The whole deal would be off. Period.
