my ex bf played
he left a shit load of his cards at my house when we broke up.
In high school, I always championed myself a defender of nerds and their counter-cool ways. For some reason, there was nothing I could to do save the Magic players from cruel, cruel ridicule.
i used to play till all my favorite power houses got banned like my blue stasis deck, or my merfolk deck with 4 merman assasins, 4 dops, and 4 clones, all tied nicely to aby card i could use to give a creature island walk. or my LOTP demon/thrull deck talk about power. or my crusades deck, i'd have to say my favorite series was alliances, or weather light, but i quit playing after that. yea i had to edit this after thinking about it i still have my cards someplace, so i got bored and decided to see what the online for some of the cards was, and i noticed the prices have dropped on the power houses since their banning, i remeber the days when a revised sara went for 15 and a fourth went for 8. is it all the people that used to play decided to get out and the market dropped or did people relize it was just a game and drop the prices?
I started playing around Arabian Nights, stopped playing around Mirage I think. Now there are so many billions of sets it seems it's kind of ridiculous.
i play MTGO, i've got a kickass black-white removal deck with some guiltfeeders and a crypt-rat/spirit link combo. i'm working on a blue-black combo right now...
I have a buddy with multiple advanced college degrees, who is literally a professional traveling MAGIC player, evidently he feels he is living his lifelong dream
I played alot when it came out a long time ago with all my friends, i have cards back from the Beta sets. Right now i couldnt tell you how to do anything with any of the cards i forgot all the rules. I still enjoy some of the card pics though, i was always a black deck lover.
I dont recall the cards, but my usual plan was to take cards from my deck directly to the graveyard (big honking monsters early in the game), then use something like ? "All Hallows Eve" (i think was the card) to bring them right into play for almost no cost and stomp When it worked just right it was so fun watching people freak out.
i played for a long time. i didn't like what happened to the game when they started coming out with pre-assembled decks. it just took so much away from it. *shrug*
I did a documentary on the kids who played Magic: The Gathering in the library for my RTV class. I interviewed a bunch of them, the librarian, and got way way too much footage of them doing their thing. It was pretty good, pretty funny, and despite my original intentions, pretty mocking.
I used to play MTG but I found couldn't keep up with my friends who bought more cards than me - you could only get so far with niffy deck making before you realised that you simply didn't have enough of the powerful cards. I stopped playing shortly after "The Dark" came out.
i used to play. i played for 2 to 3 years. from visions to invasion. then just quited. i spent to much money. the sets kepted coming out, and a player needs to be updated.
i sold all my card to somebody and only played once or twice with a friend, with his cards (he didnt sold his cards). I went to the wizards.com a few times and even signed up for the online play. But for know i want to dedicate to other things.
Good memories, dough.
