my entire life, i've always been terrified of heights. i can never ride in glass elevators. i don't even care for standard elevators. hell, i get lightheaded standing at the top of a ladder. so needless to say, i can't stand flying. ...

I took flight training in college but ran out of cash so had to change majors. After college I worked for a small airline for a couple years and now work in the travel industry. I know dozens of pilots. Most of the pilots I've met dont like ladders either.

sure, but i mean actual hours. the flight in 1998 was from tampa to LA. it may have been more than 4 hrs but it certainly wasn't 8

DC to San Diego was about eight of air time with one stop. So I guess a direct flight would be about seven. Four just doesn't sound right at all.

Boston to SF is only 5 1/2. I know that flight well.

8 hrs is a trip from Houston to Honolulu.

if you see on the news between now and next weekend that any of the following flights:

delta 2487 (TIA to LAX), 1449 (san fran to atlanta) or 2007 (atlanta to TIA)

went down in a horrific fireball, i just want all of you to know that i seriously hate you for not giving me any excuses to be unreasonably paranoid to the point where i would refuse to even go on this trip. dead serious (get it)
