Inspired by this thread...what TV shows just went on too damn long?

Happy Days - wasn't Fonzie like a school teacher or something at the end?

M*A*S*H - increasingly hard to suspend disbelief that it was the early 1950's (Loretta Swit's hair?) and they weren't filming in Malibu.

Go to it....

Heartbeat
A UK cop show set in rural yorkshire in the 70s. By my reconning, they should've hit the 80s quite a while ago and be listening to Cyndi Lauper, not Cliff Richard (It's been running about 10 years)surreal

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" is the show Larry David would have made if all the network restrictions were off. So, in a way, it's still on.

That 70s Show
the first few seasons were great, but lately...
i think it's all gone downhill since Tommy Chong left and Hyde and Jackie started dating. i mean, they could/should have ended it when the kids graduated last season, but they kept it going and got a new actress to play Lori and they're rehashing the same old "foot in your ass" jokes and it just sucks now...

Oh my God! The new Lori is hoooooorible. Just awful. puke It should be the 80s already. It was 77 when the show started almost 6 years ago. They're going all MASH on us.

Yeah but not all of us get HBO and only catch Larry David when we're at friends houses.

Every single one of the damn reality TV shows.
It was cool like the first couple times that Real World did it, but now it sucks. I want pre-packaged drama and humor, thanks. I don't want to have to wait for it.

The X-Files should have ended after Season 6. I only bought the first six seasons on DVD, and only recognize them as the true seasons of the series. Robert Patrick is a liquid metal robot, I don't care what you say.

You stole my answer!!! If there's no Mulder, I'm not watching.

Also, almost every one of the new generation of prime time soap type shows:
90210
Dawson's Creek
Melrose Place

On a slight tangent, Matt (the gay guy) from Melrose Place was on both '24' and 'NYPD Blue' the past two weeks. He's making a comeback!!!
