This isn't so much a current event as it is an FYI, but I thought I would post it.
Reality show star Ryan Dunn, who shot to fame as a member of the stunt crew for MTV's Jackass and movies by the same name, has died in a fiery crash near Philadelphia.
West Goshen Township police said Dunn, 34, was driving his 2007 Porsche with a passenger following a night out with friends when it crashed early Monday near his home.
In a release obtained by CBC News and other media, police said a preliminary investigation has revealed speed may have been a factor in the single-vehicle crash.
I was very sad to hear about this. I have been a fan of Jackass since day one. I used to always have to sneak episodes when my mom wasn't around because she hated it. Ryan Dunn was always my favorite Jackass and the best part of Bam's show too. I'll miss him for sure.
I heard he was doing around 130. At least it was probably a quick death. I saw some pretty bad wrecks when I worked in a body shop out of high school, this shit tops it.

It baffles me how upset some people are over this
well...
between the cky tapes and jackass tv shows, the multiple spin-offs of jackass, almost 20 movies appearances to his credit, and a new show with jessica chobot that had just premiered, the guy crammed a lot into his short career...and that means he was exposed to a lot of people. and especially for fans of jackass, it was easy to feel a connection to the cast members, just because of their constant presence.
lots of people get very attached to the celebrities that entertain them.
