We all know product placement happens in movies. You see the results when a can of Coke is seen in a shot instead of a generic soda, or a corporate logo comes into focus in a scene played out in Times Square.
The existence of product placement is not a mystery or scandal, but Morgan Spurlock wanted to put it to a real test. Big budget movies likeIron Man can command huge numbers for fast food endorsement deals. But could Spurlock finance an indie documentary on product placement alone?
1 thing no one ever mentions: ads make us FAT. Of course we eat more as a nation when we see images of hot cheesy pizzas and ice cold sodas everywhere we look 500 times a freakin' day.
Can't wait to see The Greatest Movie Ever Sold! It bothers me so much to see how absolutely inundated we are with advertising. Billboards, bathroom stalls, pop up computer ads. Hell, I even saw ads inside the tabletops at a diner yesterday.
