11,000 claims of abuse have been filed against 4,450 Roman Catholic priests since 1950 according to a draft of a national sex abuse survey. This AP story talks about how the survey, which was commissioned by Bishops in the church, is not yet finished and how the numbers could change before it's official release on Feb 27th. They are asking people to withhold judgement until the final survey is released, but damn, anyway you slice it this should be throwing up some serious red flags.
