SG, a word of mouth, unknown to mainstream culture, amazingly unique community, which has unique, beautiful, individualistic women at it's epicenter is hooked up wtih Playboy, the original mainstream porno mag featuring the latest rendition of Barbie. Is anyone slightly offended by this new found parnership between Sg and Playboy? Does anyone suddenly feel as though they've morphed from being part of the community of SG and become part of the porno industry?

Does anyone else get the impression that if the site were to go mainstream in someway it would be slagged off by the same people who turn against their favourite band for selling out if they ever happen to sell too many albums?

Look, Al will eat all the dodgy new people and everything will be as it was once more. MisterSatan will eat butter and I'll say whatever shit comes into my head.

Only a certain kind of person survives all that so I say bring on the money from all the new 1 month members so we can get some more pierced and tattooed naked girls with funky hair in here!

i think its funny.

First, playboy isn't porn. I have nothing against playboy. In fact, I think they turn out a quality product. What I find highly amusing is the fact that when a playboy SG union was mentioned months ago, the hipsters turned up their noses and scoffed at the idea. well guess what? union with plaboy = exposure = $ and that is more important to the proprietors of this site than their hipster members opinions and attitudes.

Capitalism, baby, deal with it.

Actually thinking about it, it's more that playboy is trying to adapt to this new culture, i.e 'alternative is in' rather than SG selling out or anything. What was once obscure and word of mouth, will if it's any good, inevitably, be absorbed in to the mainstream. This may or may not be a good thing, but it's the way of the world.

If more people who judge beauty based upon the women that appear in Playboy find out about Suicide Girls through this new association and then have their notions of what's beautiful redefined by the ladies that model for this site wouldn't that be a good thing? Wouldn't it in fact, be sort've what the point is to the site to begin with?

don't worry. i think a lot of people agree but they're just afraid to say it. besides on this forum if an issue has been discussed for over a week it's considered dead.

alternative is in

It has been for a long time..........there is nothing punk rock about punk rock any more.........whats the big deal about this issue anyhow????? its not as if SG has been hiding under a rock or something, its been mentioned on MTV ,Rollingstone,MySpace, the fee should say something about anonymity and nonconformist.

Why was this site created? To make money. Keep that in mind. I dont think the owners ever purported there was any other reason for SG. I like what SG provides, and it's worth $4 a month to me, uhhhhh.....that's all.
