Living with Parents, Embarrassing or Understandable?

I don't think Vanessa was speaking to any person in particular on SG, but just about the generalized perception that people tend to have about adults living at home with parents. I think she was just speaking out about the necessity to refrain from passing judgment about these things, when the reality is that we have no idea what is going on behind closed doors.

I'm sure Vanessa might not be inclined to speak openly about traumatic experiences to her neighbors, which might lead them to speculate that the reason she is living at home is because she is a lazy dolt. I think that this is what she meant by saying "Keep your judgmental shit to yourself."

First of all, don't tell me to mellow out when you have no fucking idea what I've been through the last few months.

Second, why don't you listen to the advice of the very educated person above who actually knows why I feel the way I do.
Did I single anyone out? No.
I know a lot of people who think that living with your parents makes you, as people have said "lazy and spoiled" "having no ambition" etc.

Or how about you actually READ my last post and figure it out for yourself?

I've been back living with my folks for two years now. Economy, shit rental market, and my lack of stable job has made it difficult to consider other options.

I used to work in property management, and unless you can prove you've got a shit tonne of cash, nobody is going to rent to someone with an unstable employment history. In a few more months I should be sweet to start applying for rental properties again.. dependent on the market of course.

Some people however are just lazy fucks who sponge off their folks.
