It's been over a decade since Linkin Park released their debut album, Hybrid Theory, which spawned the breakout, radio-friendly crossover hits "Crawling" and "In the End." The SoCal rock/rap band, whose vocal interplay between singer Chester Bennington and rapper Mike Shinoda became their sonic signature, have come a long way since then.
But though Linkin Park's subsequent full-length offerings, Meteora (2003) and Minutes to Midnight (2007), were solid performers, they failed to match the excitement...
Awesome interview!! I love Linkin Park and hell Chester in general and was kind of wondering what was behind the big difference in this album. Sometimes change is good and I loved this album and can't wait till they hit the states again. It'll be my 5th LP show and since the sound is so different it'll be totally awesome cause it'll be like my first!
I love the new album. I think it might take people a while to get use to because it is so different from what you expect from LP, but at the same time it is so something LP would do.
This album as some of the best Chester I have ever heard- the best of all the guys of LP actually. I am so glad that they decided to make an album and totally put themselves out there.
I remember listening to their music and being really into them when I was in high school. Now I can't stand their music. Their 1st and 2nd albums are great, the others are so different and I didn't bother to get into them again.
