The most interesting thing about talking to the surviving members of the seminal British comedy troupe Monty Python is that you find that they are very much intellectuals. It may be hard to believe that the men that exposed their bums, dressed as very ugly woman and did some of the silliest things imaginable on national TV, then international TV, and also as a series of very popular films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, are all brilliant in many other areas outside writing comedy. God I can't wait to see that series. His shows on the Crusades were awesome and the book was even better. There's good reason why he was my favorite Python

my dad knows his wife. they're biochemistry nerd buddies. it always pissed me off when I was younger that we had nobel prize winners over for dinner but no pythons. I mean, why in the world would terry jones want to skip a home cooked meal with an arizona state university professor and his family? confused

Interesting interview but badly framed .... I would prefer it I coudl read the interview with larger print and not have the entire left side with past interviews.

That would be preferable .... def cool though.

ecq

As is this is very hard to read ... Bigger print and put the past interviews either all on the top or somewhere not in the way

Oh my God I love Monty Python! I grew up with the soundtrack to the Holy Grail, it had lots of extra stuff on it that was not in the movie. biggrin My Dad was Baptist and reeeeaallly hated the whole "Holy Hand Grenade" bit. It really pissed him off that I knew it by heart biggrin

I think that's the best interview I've read here, although that may be due to my Monty Python and Terry Jones worship in general. Class. ooo aaa

Fantastic interview. Terry Jones is a legend. My parents spoon-fed me Monty Python as a child and I doubt I would be the chipper little geek today if I hadn't had my full knowledge of The Larch.

I think it's been said before that the humour is borne of intellect. I think this article proves that ever so well. Bravo! I really DO subscribe to SG for the articles... (.)(.)

Python is just great all around. I break into a "Silly Walk" when in public to see what people do.
