Just curious how many crazy people we have out there. Like who would be running around the street naked if they didn't have pills or whatever. Time to represent biggrin

I've dated plenty of women on meds and those crazy medicated broads are demons in the sack.

So many meds it's frightening... I take 3-6 pills a day for mental stuff.

I'm a psychopharmocologists wet dream.

Skelaxin is about the only thing I take. It's a mild muscle relaxer. Why do I take it? So I can feel like Jabba The Hut while sitting here in this chair day in and day out.

I'd be running around the streets pregnant if it weren't for my meds.

yeah, i'm the same way. as crazy as i get, i can't go on meds. i don't think i have an actual chemical imbalance, but i do get anxiety attacks, often enough for it to bother me. i see a therapist regularly. she helps with creative problem solving (that usually helps me deal with problems that left unchecked, lead to high-anxiety). but therapy can't help chemical imbalances, so folks if you have/need meds, then take em like you're supposed to and don't be ashamed about it. this world is hard to deal with, sometimes.

i take lots of meds, if i didn't, i probably would be dead right now, in which case i wouldn't be typing this, in which case you wouldn't be reading this, and i wouldn't be a member of SG and THAT just would have thrown off the entire universe.

I've got asthma too. I have an inhaler and a machine (with albuterol solution) but I haven't used them in so long.

When I was younger, it was really bad. I was on steroids for about 6 years too keep it from killing me, and still almost died from it three times that I can remember. When I turned 16, I was so fed up with all the side effects of the meds I was on I said "fuck it" and refused to take any of them Went through about 2 weeks of asthmatic hell and then things just calmed down. I think I forced my body to just learn to deal with it on it's own, the whole "do this or die" response. It's still a minor annoyance, acting up on random but rare occassion, but it's so mild now.

I was diagnosed as bipolar six years ago and have been on almost every drug known to man to keep it under control. They even tried "alternative" treatment methods. Now I am quite happy on abilify (such a lame name) and constantly abuse ritalin which they gave me for ADHD. That problem was caused by doctors screwing with my brain.

I absolutely agree. With that being said:

Luvox for depression, but I imagine that's due to change soon, since I can't handle the side effects.
Valium for acute anxiety, which will probably change soon too.
