Any wine drinkers out there want to name some of their favorite producers? Just curious...smile

Join in the wine snobbery, old bean.

Personally, I'm a fan of Côtes du Rhônes.

I'm snobby enough to know I like Austrailian Shiraz, but not snobby enough to know or care the winery.

2 buck chuck? confused

Trader Joes has a wine with a huge smiley face on it that is my favorite...
I googled it- it's called Project Happiness Syrah

It's like.. $7 so you should try it. I'm not snobby enough to know if people who drink a lot of wine like it too though.

I buy wine by the label. If it is witty or humorous, I'll buy it once. It was how I fell in love with Fat bastard vineyards.

The kind that gets me drunk?

I actually kind of like the Francis Coppola brand (I've had a couple different varieties). But I'm not a snob, so I don't know what's what. I used to drink the Berringer White Zinfandel, so obviously my taste isn't the best, haha.

Pinot Grigio, usually Ecco Domani or Bella Sera.

St. James Winery's Velvet Red (local to Missouri) (which is really sweet, and might be closer to alcoholic grape juice, but still tasty)

White Winter Mead Wines (local to Northern WI)

I really like the Old Moon Zinfandel from Trader Joe's. Sadly, there's no Trader Joe's within thousands of miles.

It's funny how many times snob or snobby has been used as a response. We all have our tastes in music and movies and tattoos, etc. Wine should be no different. I love good wine but also like cheap beer and chicken fingers. It's all good...

Drink what you love! Nothing else matters. I prefer Coppola for Godfather, but you like Punchdrunk Love so you are automatically the coolest!

The stuff I've had from Cono Sur has been pretty good and it's cheap.

I might be a wine snob if I could afford to be, but I can't so I just enjoy it occasionally. I prefer reds, the best I've had was Sachino from Georgia (Russia) and I don't know if I'll ever come across it again. Second favorite: Apothic Red, a California blend of syrah, zinfandel, merlot and cabernet. I am usually a pinot noir lover and I loooved Apothic Red.

White wine, I am fond of Riesling. My fave is Schmitt Sohne Piesporter Michelsberg Spatlese.

And, most stuff I've tried from Mirassou is quite tasty.

The people I visit for Thanksgiving every year have their own wine cellar, and break it open at about 9:30 AM. Sadly, their taste runs to very dry Californians. So, I stick to beer.

As for wine, I really enjoyed Big House white. Haven't tried their red.

Pinot Grigio is my favorite white, and Bella Sera is pretty tasty.

Also, when I lived in Mendoza, Argentina is when I discovered I like wine, so I'm partial to anything from there. Especially Norton, which I visited in person.

You would all be amazed at the values for French and Italian wine. So much amazing wine under $20 a bottle! No need for snobbery, just enjoyment.

I should also mention that I've rarely had a bad Rioja. Spanish wine is where it's at (for me, anyway).

Heh, I became a Pinot drinker after watching Sideways for the first time.

I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot!
