We've been watching it for hours. Completely brutal. They need to finish the match tomorrow, and then the winner has to play their scheduled match later that day.
Dude when I did a 3 hour match back in HS I was wiped out. Who ever wins gets a ton of respect, and definitely a name in the history books. And also the whole match was classy, no bragging no fist pumping and minimal grunts. Good form dare I say.
The crazy thing is not just that this has shattered all sorts of pro tennis records, but by how much. The fifth set alone would qualify as the longest match in history, both in terms of time and games/points played. And two of the other four sets went to tiebreakers.
Annnnd it's over. They played the just about the equivalent of another 2 sets today. I don't see how in the world Isner's going to pull it together for his next match though...
