I was just curious to see if their were any outdoorsy members. What do you guys like to do, and how often do you get to do it? Favorite trips? Places you'd love to go?

I like to hike and camp, and I've started mtn biking again recently (single track). I've only been on one multi-day backpacking trip (ND Badlands), but I would love to go on more. I'd really like to get into rock climbing, but I have only made it to the local climbing gym once. IL doesn't exactly have much going for it in the ways of an outdoor culture so I'm hoping to someday move out to CO, OR, or WA.

Love the outdoors!!!

My buddy got me into back country camping last year with a 6 night canoe trip into Algonquin Park. Planning a 3 night for Mid May, and will hopefully be doing two more towards the end of summer.

I ride single track XC and have some mini DH around where I live, currently looking to upgrade from my hardtail and get a decent FS all mountain or light freeride bike. I would love to get a full blown DH monster but there's not enough to ride around Toronto to justify it.

I'd like to get into whitewater kayaking but again, not to much whitewater around my location.

Wish I lived out West...

I would love to do a multiple day canoe trip like that. It's just hard to find people that are into stuff like that. I've got a handful of friends that will go backcountry camping with me but most of them freak out once they realize it's too far to drag a beer cooler.

I have a chance to go whitewater kayaking here in May for the first time. I'm hoping that actually happens. There is a class 2/3 river about 5 hours from here. I didn't even know there was whitewater that close until about a month ago.

Sounds like you've got some pretty sweet mtn biking going on. My campus has 8 miles of single track that is maintained by a local volunteer organization. It's nothing to extravagant, but it's enough to wear me out. I've never got to do any downhill, none of that anywhere near here.

Sorry for any type o's, I'm posting from a phone and it's hard to review a post.

I love that movie. I nearly shit a brick with joy when I saw it on the five dollar rack at Wal-Mart the other day.

I've never had anything other than poison ivy to my knowledge. Not sure if I've never encountered it or if it doesn't effect me.

I really want to get into climbing. My campus has a climbing gym, but I don't really know anyone else that climbs. It's hard to get the motivation to go solo. When I finally get my degree I hope to move out to the PNW area. Surely, people are more outdoorsy there than here in IL.
