The money making machine that is Transformers was ready made and turn key so how can you screw that up? It takes a special kind of retard to do thatmad

Together those films grossed $1.5 billion. So clearly he did not screw up the money making machine.

This fact has crushed any remaining faith in humanity I may once have had. Then sodomized its corpse.

^^^ I'm perfectly content with being out of step with the times by not finding her the least bit attractive.

So they are letting Michael Bay make another transformers movie, haven't they damaged the franchise enough letting that ass-hat already make two of them?

It's a franchise about a bunch of toy robots; it's not as if they hadn't sold out already. And most of what goes under the "Transformer" logo is utter shite, so it's not as if dear Michael is bucking the trend there.

Beast Wars was awesome though, I'll give you that.

Yeah it's a cartoon made to sell toys. The important thing is that somehow Michael Bay did manage to ruin that. I think once you make a movie with robot testicles you should lose the right to make movies ever again.

dude, that was hillarious. your just angry you didnt think of it first. and for being a party pooper, YOU deserve for be "standing directly under the enemy scrotum!!" biggrin

I'm morally opposed to any Transformers movie without Orson Welles in it.

The original cartoon was far superior in every way; cast, story, acting and it had Weird Al channeling Devo on the soundtrack!

But what of the Rock Lords?

I loved the Rock Lords! I had four of them and I played with them as much as my Transformers. Seriously overlooked group of toys.

If you take an old cartoon and faithfully remake it into a beautifully made, well-cast, creative, original, fun, heartwarming movie... you get Speed Racer and the general public ignores it. frown

The problem with Speedracer was that hardly anyone knew of it in the 80's as kids, so nobody cared as adults.

On the flip side, the Transformers animated series is not nearly as awesome in reality as it is with the rose tinted-glasses of nostalgia. I've been buying up and watching the seasons of the original animated series. The first season was pretty good, with very well thought-out stories. By season three (after the movie) we're reduced to be introduced to team after team of transformers (on the origonal model of Devastator and the Constructicons) and the Transformers battling in the middle-eastern nation of 'Car-bomb-ia'. whatever

She'd be attractive if she had any other discernible talent other than 'OMG! I'm hot!'.

Pictured: an undamaged franchise, apparently.
