I think that's a sea isopod inside the mouth of a fish.

yeah it's a parasite that eats off the fish's tongue and attaches itself to the flesh inside. then it's able to feed on what ever comes into the fish's mouth. can't remember what the name is though.

Last I checked, it's simply called a "tongue-eating parasitic isopod"

And, surprising to no one, it comes from New Jersey.
