jennifer says.."War to me is ultimately a very dark, scary and sad time for a country. I don't want our troops to see citizens of our OWN COUNTRY burning the AMERICAN FLAG on CNN and think that everyone feels that way here in the States about the "War."
no wonder nobody likes them anymore.
Canada didn't even get involved with the war. What do they mean "our own". I don't think I've ever seen anyone burn a canadian flag. I fact, I'm going to see if I can burn one right now to see if it actually works..."
Jennifer is from Puerto Rico and currently lives between Washington DC and LA. Thus she is an American and our own was a collective reference to Americans as a whole. Though since everyone in North and South America are 'Americans' it isn't that deep of an abstraction for it to be all of us. When one of the Nations in either continent goes to war all the other nations are impacted, more so now then ever before. So I don't see a problem with her comment, whether YOU agree with her perspective, she has a right to her opinion and a right to self-expression, people on this site more then in other places should have nothing but the utmost respect for that at least.
And if anyone is interested you can hear clips from rough tracks of their next album (even though I did a poor job of labeling the MP3's oh well) just thought that should be mentioned since it wasn't in the interview.

You know, different people cry about this war being about power, oil and other various wrongdoings this country has quietly (and not so quietly) been involved in but, to that I have just one thing to ask those who feel this way :
DOES ANYONE REMEMBER SEPTEMBER 11TH??
great interview, right up to this point. yes, Jennifer, i remember Sep 11. i remember it being the work of Al Queda, which has dick-all to do with Iraq. sweetie, lay off the Fox News for a while, okay?
Brackish is a standard song I put on any of my CDs for driving around.
I was always proud that Kittie was from Canada...yes the new girls are hot like Morgan and Mercedes but I don't get that same Canadian Warm and Fuzzy feeling anymore.
I miss Fallon.
I know she wasn't even in the band when this interview happened but just stating, I miss her.
I miss Jennifer too, for that matter (despite her comments in this interview).
