I'm not talking about movies you didn't like, but movies you are willing to admit maybe just went over your head.

For me, it was this one:

I was lost from the very beginning and my bewilderment only deepened as the film progressed.

Brick, I've watched that thing probably 5 or 6 times. I still don't get the whole plot. To be honest I didn't get I'm Not There. I just got confused.

I 'get' most movies I've seen, but I seriously did not understand how 'Superbad' was funny at all. I've watched it 3 times now and it just doesn't click to me. surreal

Napoleon Dynamite. The whole world seemed to find it fucking hilarious, but after watching sober, stoned, and drunk and still only laughing at one scene, I gave up. I think the movie is just fucking stupid, so I don't think it went over my head, but I didn't "get" what made everyone laugh.

Lars and the Real Girl. Everyone kept telling me how hilarious and charming it was...but it just made me feel awkward.

Embarrassingly, I was really confused by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and had to have it explained to me why Sirius Black went from the baddest bad guy ever to the tender fatherly good guy. I think I must have walked out for more popcorn at the wrong moment.

So...we're not shitting on movies, just naming which ones left us wondering or confounded, right? For me, it's Swimming Pool. I watched it a couple times and I seriously don't know what the fuck happened. I'm sure if I read up on the film I'd understand, but that's like hearing a joke explained.

2001. If Kubrick was such a fucking genius, how come that movie puts me to sleep faster than a bottle of NyQuil?

That's the way I feel about The Big Lebowski. It just doesn't do that much for me.

If you haven't read the books, it's easy to miss that. There's a much more involved story about how he was framed.

Richard Kelly does David Lynch for teenagers.

Read Roger Ebert's review of Synecdoche. I think that may help.

I think it made everyone feel awkward. Good movie nonetheless. Well written.

I felt that way the first time. I could see where it was funny, but I didn't laugh. Then I saw it again and thought it was hilarious.

If you watch them enough and read up on them, they slowly start to make sense. Except Inland Empire. I still don't know WTF that one is about.

You have to be a big Bob Dylan fan to really get that one. Each incarnation represents a different musical persona Bob had.

s5 do yourself a favor and ignore the movies. Read the books. The best of the Harry Potter movies are Cliff Notes of the books, and the bad ones are film-making tragedies.

This movie made no sense, and so dumb people thought that meant it was deep. It falls under the category of watch it high or don't watch it at all.

I hated it, but I know enough people who loved it that sometimes I wonder if I missed something.

Natural Born Killers - I get what they were TRYING to do...but I don't get why it was so popular. I barely made it through the entire movie

A Clockwork Orange - I think one of the worst movies I've ever sat through.
