For nine months Placebo (Brian Molko, Stefan Osdal and, Steven Hewitt) have been vigorously touring around the globe promoting their fourth album, emotionally charged ‘Sleeping with Ghosts.’. I traveled to Las Vegas in November to see them play with the Eagles of Death Metal. The anticipation in the audience before they took the stage was electric. Placebo began the set with instrumental “Bulletproof Cupid” which only increased the electricity and ensured what was to be a powerful set. Vocalist...

Anais Anais Anais.... You warned me this was about to show up on here... but DAMN GIRL!! That is by far the best interview with Brian Malko that i have yet to read! You are an amazing interviewer, and by letting him in on little tid bits and your own experiences... you brought soooooo much more out of him than most stuffy interviewers.

As always, you rock my socks!

Love Ya ANAIS!!!!!!!!!

Sleeping With Ghosts was the first album of theirs I heard, and I loved it. I just heard it recently though, and have yet to explore more of their music. Should I expect a similar sound?

Yes, all the Placebo albums sound more or less the same - that's not a criticism because they rock. The earlier ones are a little more frenetic and 'heavy', but that's about it. I'd recommend picking up all the 3 previous albums to SWG, but in particular "Placebo" and "Without You I'm Nothing".

Yeah, Without You, I'm Nothing is a masterpiece from beginning to end.

Oh and I remember what else I wanted to say - they're doing the music for Asia's next movie? So does that mean Placebo are finally doing an entire movie soundtrack? eeek love

Brilliant, do you like m' jumper? Placebo rocks my cock. Did a rad turn on 'Where is my Mind?' and 'Allergic...'. Stefan is a cut-up in concert, Brian is electric and poor Steve?, well he rounds it all out. Plus they toured with the 'Thin White Duke'. Hats off the Placebo. Now if only Muse would make their way across the pond.

great interview. and to think i had just recently been thinking about learning more about lucid dreaming (thanks anais!) and now will.

AND i read the comments here and find a new fav SG... hey Kasara!!!

AND placebo is just one of those bands that us fans gets lucky enough to get a greater more unexpectedly good album after another. reminds me of the days when i would get a great new ramones record every nine months in the early eighties.

sincerely,
Nobody
