Or contact lenses, or had laser eye surgery, or... you get what I'm saying. I'm thinking of starting a group for us people who see the world all fuzzy, just for advice and support and admiration of sexy new glasses, you see where I'm coming from I hope.

Would anyone join? And what should I call it? I need a name for it before I can attempt to apply...

I wear glasses because I need them, but I never switched to contacts because I have a giant head and it helps break up my face.

It can be quite hard to get laser eye surgery. If you have any cuts or infections in youe eyes that made you need glasses yourkinda screwed frown

I've worn glasses since 3rd grade. I have contacts now, but I still love my glasses.

I would kill to get some laser eye surgery, I just don't have the money. I don't get squeamish easily but I do when trying to purposely put something on my eyeballs (contacts, for instance) so I'm stuck with glasses until I a) grow a pair and get contacts or b) get a job and get surgery.

I wear glasses. I'm extremely near sighted and can't to anything without my glasses on. Can't do contacts, gross. And laser surgery is too scary for me, I'll just stick with my glasses.

haha I'm just kidding.
those were actually my glasses when I was 8 years old. surreal
given how huge they look on my head NOW...imagine what they looked like on me THEN!

these are my real ones

and I just thought I'd share...

I used to put these things on all the time when I was little. I wonder why I did a lot of the stuff I did when I was a kid...

and still. surreal

In glasses since age 9 (though I needed them before that...this was in the era before eyesight testing was common for very young kids).
But I wear contacts 99% percent of the time. I enjoy having peripheral vision.
I will probably never get laser surgery, there's too much of a chance something could go wrong and land me in glasses for the rest of my life. Also I do computer work, which causes eyestrain, and then there's the muscle weakening nearly everyone gets in their 50s which would just make you need corrective lenses again anyway.

I forgot to mention I'd totally join that group and...

Sadista, I agree with you about never getting the laser surgery cause it's too risky. I wouldn't want to take that kind of risk with my eyes... the only way I'd ever get surgery done on my eyes is if it was totally necessary. So far, contacts and glasses have treated me well...

I also hear that people who have really terrible vision, often can't be 100% corrected with the laser surgery...so then...what's the point?

My vision is awful. The doccie says I can't see more than 8 cm in front of my face without corrective lenses eeek
